Engineered Solutions for Refinery & FCCU Applications

In petroleum refining, the combination of the high temperatures (700º C) and hard catalyst media within the reactor and regenerator sections of the FCCU’s create severe erosion problems.

Kennametal Stellite alloys such as Tribaloy™ T-800 and Stellite 720, have proven to have significant performance advantages over 304, 410, and boron diffused 410. These cobalt and molybdenum-based alloys provide an exceptional blend of high-temperature sulfidation, oxidation, and erosion resistance.
